FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who can be a member?

If you were assigned male at birth, but have a female or feminine gender identity, you are welcome in this space! Inclusive spaces for everybody in the LGBTQ+ umbrella are great, but this group is meant to be a refuge specifically for trans women and transfems to engage in community with each other.

I haven't medically transitioned, can I still be a member?

Of course! Medical transitioning is a crucial step for many trans people in their transition journey, but it has no bearing on your actual identity. If you haven't gotten to medically transition yet, or if it's just not a step in your transition journey, you are welcome here.

I'm questioning whether I'm trans or not, but I want to explore my identity more and determine if transitioning is right for me. Can I still take part in the group?

Absolutely. If you were assigned male at birth, and are questioning if that was the right call for you, you are welcome here. Twin City Transfems aims to be a safe place for those looking to figure themselves out in addition to those who already have.
